Bano Hygienic Washbasin
The Bano Hygienic Washbasin is designed to optimize the Bano Concept, increasing accessibility and safety for the user. Integrated support handles with a load capacity of up to 300kg provide extra grip and security on wet and slippery surfaces and are useful when transitioning from the toilet to a wheelchair or when changing positions.
The the drainage edge in the front prevents the user in a wheelchair from spilling watersplashes on their clothes as any spillage will run back into the basin. Due to the asymmetrical shape, the basin can be placed near a Bano Turnable Toilet, reducing the number of necessary transitions. The washbasin can be delivered electrically height-adjustable, providing easy wheelchair access. The hygienic cover beneath the washbasin effectively hides the pipes and tubes, making a hygienic cleaning easier. We offer two different sizes to meet the needs of our users and customers.

Bano Hygienic Washbasin
Bano Hygienic washbasin is designed to optimize the Bano Concept, increasing accessibility and safety for the user. Due to the asymmetrical shape, the basins can be placed near a Bano Turnable Toilet, making the interaction between the toilet and washbasin optimal. The proximity to the toilet reduces the need for multiple transfers, thereby decreasing the number of accidents for the user and strain injuries among caregivers.
The basin can be electrically raised and lowered, using a button or an external panel attached to the washbasin. The height-adjustment provides easy wheelchair access to the sink, and the height can be adjusted as needed – it adapts to the user.
Integrated support handles are ergonomically shaped for a comfortable grip and are strategically placed to prevent the hand from getting trapped in case of a fall. The washbasin support handles are in the same design as the rest of the grab bars in the Bano Concept.
The washbasin can be actively used when changing positions, i.e. moving between wheelchair and toilet or for extra support when standing up, facilitating a safeguarding movement.
The angeled position of the washbasin mixer makes the faucet closer to the user than on a traditional HC washbasin. This is especially beneficial for people who struggle to operate in and above shoulder height, as they don’t have to lean over the sink to reach the faucet.
The material used in the washbasins is a marble composite. It is a very durable material that makes the washbasins unlikely to break if something heavy is dropped on it. The surface is treated with a gelcoat that can be polised up if it becomes dull.
Under the sink, there is a cover that conceals the piping system and wires, making cleaning easier and giving the basin a neat and delicate appearance. This is a great advantage during cleaning and improves the hygiene significantly.
